This policy explains what data The Loot (the “Bot”) stores and why. The Bot is designed to collect the minimum needed to deliver free-game announcements to your server.
Server configuration — when you set the Bot up, we store:
Delivery records — the IDs of the guild, channel and the messages the Bot posted, so the same game is never announced twice.
We do not read, collect or store your messages, direct messages, or member lists. The Bot uses only Discord’s “Guilds” gateway intent.
Solely to deliver free-game announcements to your configured channel and to remember your settings. We never use it for advertising or profiling.
Data is held in the operator’s self-hosted PostgreSQL and Redis databases, which are not exposed publicly. Webhook tokens are scoped to a single channel and can only post to that channel.
Each third party handles data under its own privacy policy.
Removing the Bot from your server stops all processing for that server. To delete your stored configuration, remove the Bot or contact us. Delivery records are kept only as long as needed to avoid duplicate announcements.
We never sell, rent or share your data with third parties for advertising.
You must meet Discord’s minimum age requirement (13+, or older where your local law requires) to use the Bot.
We may update this policy; the “Effective” date above reflects the latest version.
